BACKGROUND
After completing residency in neurosurgery Dr. Janowski joined Johns Hopkins University, where he pursued his research career in translational research on image guided neurointerventions. Based on his achievements including high-impact scientific publications, numerous lectures and patents, he has been recruited in 2019 by the University of Maryland to establish Program In Image Guided Neurointerventions (PIGN), and he serves as a Co-Director of PIGN. In 2023 he was promoted to full professor. In addition to his academic career, he has also co-founded the international Society for Image Guided Neurointerventions (SIGN), and co-organizes 4th SIGN conference in Hyderabad, India, ro raise awareness of benefits of advanced imaging to guide therapies of the Central Nervous System. He has also co-founded Ti-com and IntraART. Ti-com is a CRO company providing advanced, image guided procedures for demanding customers from Academia and Industry. IntraART is focused on commercialization of patents from the area of drug delivery to the brain and co-owners includes Professors Piotr Walczak, and Monica Pearl – interventional neuroradiologist at the Children National Hospital.
